Happy Independence Day in India!!

Well, internet is finally back!  I still don't have my own internet, but at least I have wifi at this cafe again!

So today is Independence Day in India.  We went to a branch activity this morning and performed with the Relief Society in this little dance skit.  It was slightly embarrassing and really fun, hahah.  It's fun being a part of the branch here!  We have a video of it, but I'm definitely not promising to put it up.  I'll contemplate it.  We'll see. :) haha

Here's the 3 of us at the activity

me with some boys from the branch

And Rebecca and I in front of our house with the India flag and picture of Gandhi! :)

Last night Rebecca and I went to the store and I bought some crackers and cookies... this is what happens when I do that. (he only eats the cream and then lays the cookies nicely on the floor, hahaha)

And then I turn around to find this.... Sidhu climbing onto my bed.  His favorite spot. Hahaha.  He is adoorrrabbbbbble. :)

Yesterday we went to the Jalari village close to our house (if you look on google maps and type in Lawson's Bay Colony you can see where we live.  I believe it shows the little grocery store Baba Bazaar... we live about 5 blocks north of that store.  The Jalari village is a couple of blocks east of us).  This is the area where Doctor Nuckolls has done all of his field work, and I got to photograph quite a bit!  Here are some favs... (p.s. PLEASE do me a favor and view these in slideshow view so you can view them bigger... they are so much more meaningful when you can actually see the details!)

Sorry, I went a little black and white crazy. :)

Anyway... I have been sick.  I have gone through almost a whole roll of TP blowing my nose.  Seriously.  Hah.  But all is well and India is a dreammmmmmmm still. :) Loving my life right nowwwwwww.

Some deep and meaningful thoughts to come soon... sorry, just pictures this time! :) K BYEEEEEE
